Train arriving at the Sunset Transit Center. The station is below grade.
To the west, the line goes into a tunnel and does a 180 degree turn under
the Sunset Hwy. then makes another 90 degree jog to go south along State
Route 217. To the east, the line climbs sharply to go over the State Route
217/Sunset Highway interchange.

This is a Bombardier LRV entering the Washington Park station westbound.
When you are in the station, you can hear the trains as soon as they enter the tunnel,
but it takes several minutes for the train to arrive as the total length of the tunnel
is 3 miles long with the station about a mile from the eastern portal.
