MBTA uses 115 Kinki-Sharyo and 55 Boeing cars.
Photos below are of a tour of the "Big Dig". This project is intended to put an elevated highway underground. In addition, photos of the new "North Station Superstation" are included. Plans are to move the elvated Green Line underground next to the Orange Line to allow for "cross-platform" transfers.

To the right a current parking lot of the Fleet Center, formerly
the site of the Boston Garden. Thios is the future site of new
North Station development. The Green Line elevated structure
will be demolished once the Superstation is completed.
Future Green Line tracks outbound to Lechmere
Green Line Inbound to Government Center/Park Street.
This will allow cross-platform transfers between the
Inbound Green Line and Inbound Orange Line trains.
